The Toronto alt-rock project are proving that positivity and intention can still go a long way.
Homeshake, the indie project of Toronto songwriter Peter Sagar, delivered not one but two standout albums in 2024. Both records showcase Sagar’s evolving artistry, from the nostalgia-drenched, guitar-driven grit of CD Wallet to the textured, introspective soundscapes of Horsie.
Together, these albums explore themes of memory, identity, and solitude, securing their place as a combined entry on our list. It really was too hard to pick just one of these two albums as the standout, so we decided to include both!
