Nick Buxton and Lewis Maynard on emotional honesty, hidden messages, and the bonds that shaped their new album.
The Okanagan is about to get loud. Anarchy in the O.K. Music Festival storms into Vernon’s Creekside Conference Centre the weekend of Saturday, Sept. 13, promising two days of high-octane punk, rock, and community spirit.
Presented by The Small Axe, the fest was born from a late-night post-show brainstorm at the beloved Enderby roadhouse of the same name — a spot that’s become a local hub for live music and good food. What started as a casual “what if?” conversation between friends and restaurateurs has now evolved into one of the most exciting new DIY festivals in the region.
This year’s lineup features A Wilhelm Scream, Raygun Cowboys, Alien Boys, and RANGE favourites WAIT//LESS, alongside a stacked bill of Western Canadian acts that embody the grit and heart of the punk community. Expect sweat-soaked sets, cold drinks, local eats, and a crowd of diehard fans bringing the chaos in true Okanagan fashion.
Beyond the music, Anarchy in the O.K. doubles down on its grassroots ethos by giving back. Proceeds from the festival will support Forever Home Sanctuary and Sweet Smiles Society, reinforcing the organizers’ mission to uplift both people and animals.
With sponsors like Harley-Davidson and Long & McQuade on board, and ticket prices ranging from $69–$99, the event blends punk spirit with small-town heart. While there’s no on-site camping, nearby accommodations and travel tips can be found online.
So, if you’re craving a weekend of distortion, connection, and community — grab your tickets at linktr.ee/anarchyintheok and get ready to raise some hell in the hills.
