The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC have announced that acclaimed comedian, actor, and musician Mae Martin will host the 55th Annual JUNO Awards, broadcasting live from Hamilton’s TD Coliseum in 2026.

Martin brings a sharp, genre-defying voice to Canada’s Biggest Night in Music, following a banner few years across comedy, television, and music. Known for blending humour with vulnerability and cultural insight, Martin’s hosting debut marks a fresh chapter for the JUNOS as they return to Hamilton and kick off a week-long celebration of Canadian music.

“I’m unbelievably honoured to be hosting The JUNOS this year,” Martin said in a statement. “The JUNOS have always been about celebrating artists who are bold, genre-defying, and unafraid to be a little weird, so I’ll try to embody those qualities as your host.”

In addition to the hosting announcement, CARAS revealed several major broadcast highlights. Multi-platinum global star Daniel Caesar will receive the International Achievement Award, recognizing his worldwide impact and continued elevation of Canadian music on the global stage. Caesar will also perform during the televised ceremony. Manitoba singer-songwriter William Prince is set to perform as well, bringing his acclaimed storytelling and roots-informed sound to the JUNO stage.

Off the broadcast stage, Billy Talent will be honoured with the Humanitarian Award at the JUNO Awards Gala, recognizing the band’s decades-long commitment to philanthropy and social impact. Industry leaders Alexander Mair, Sandy Pandya, and Vinny Cinquemani will also receive the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award for their lasting influence on Canada’s music industry.

CARAS also announced the first wave of performers for JUNOfest. Presented by CBC, the multi-venue festival will transform the host city into a hub for live Canadian music throughout JUNO Week.

The 2026 JUNO Awards will air live on CBC TV and CBC Gem at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, with additional programming and performers to be announced in the coming months.
