Alpha P speaks with confidence on his firm belief that he will become one of the biggest artists in music. If you’ve been following his career over the course of the last year it’s easy to get behind his vision. Catching a rising tide of interest in international music, the 19-year-old Nigerian singer and rapper is mixing traditional Afropop with catchy melodic trap.

Alpha P has already celebrated a massive breakthrough this year, being featured on an official remix of Justin Bieber’s smash hit “Peaches” by fellow Nigerian Masterkraft, and his latest single, “Oh No,” sees him turning his flirt game into a full-on vibe. Produced by Killertunes, Alpha P puts an authentic spin on the dancehall and Afrobeats sound that is invading the charts through artists like Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid.

Switching up the usual instrumental with a tantalizing variety of percussion and a sizzling synth hooks, Alpha P rides the beat with a laid-back and confident demeanour while utilizing his smooth high range to build himself up – promising prime treatment and devotion over material goods. His speedy flow only drives home his argument further, sounding completely comfortable and in his element.

“Oh No” is Alpha P’s first single since dropping his Wolves & Mustangs, Vol. 1 EP late last year. If Alpha P is as successful in obtaining a global audience as he is his love interest in this song, we suggest you jump on this wave before it becomes a tsunami.
