The grandson of Bob Marley is here to shake up the genre with hip-hop, dancehall, and Afrobeats energy.
It’s the one event in Canada designed with every music fan in mind, and over the course of its 56 year history, Quebec City’s gargantuan Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) has only gotten better with age.
This year FEQ is welcoming music fans back onto the historic Plains of Abraham to witness a line-up stacked with all-star talent, including Post Malone, 50 Cent, J Balvin, Jonas Brothers, The Offspring, Future Islands, and many more.
Running July 4 to 14, FEQ is taking 11 days to roll out their impressive programming and curation skills, offering something for music fans of all shapes and sizes at various stages around the city.
“From emerging talent at Place d’Youville to the rich undercards on all stages… It’s a lineup that stands out from the overall 2024 offering and remains faithful to our artistic direction.” says Louis Bellavance, VP of Content and Artistic Direction at BLEUFEU. “We can’t wait to share it with festival-goers!”
The festival kicks off Canada strong on July 4 with rock titans Nickelback making their FEQ debut. Keeping the pace into the weekend, other well-known acts including The Dead South, Jonas Brothers, Carly Rae Jepsen, and a personal RANGE favourite when it comes to undercards, the brand new and sparkling Diamond Cafe, who won us over with his recent single, “When You Can’t Resist.”
Quebecers love punk rock almost as much as they love their heavy metal, and this year FEQ is doubling down by inviting bands like The Offspring, Rise Against, and Killswitch Engage. But the crowned achievement in terms of booking this year and the main attraction for many is going to be Mötley Crue, who will be closing out the festival on July 14.
FEQ is one of Canada’s most important and notorious outdoor music festivals, priding itself on its multi-genre and diverse programming that they offer not only at their main stages on the Plains of Abraham, but also on stages and in smaller venues throughout Quebec City. With global attendance usually topping more than one million each year, FEQ offers the perfect setting to discover up-and-coming artists and enjoy world-renowned stars.
Founded in 1968, over the past few years, the FEQ has presented artists including The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Sting & Peter Gabriel, Elton John, The Black Eyed Peas, Billy Joel, KISS, and more. This year continues the tradition with an action packed 11 days of programming for music fans of all ages.
FEQ passes are already on sale at $150 CND and starting (tax included, shipping costs not included). The transferable pass is limited to 4 passes/cards per transaction. Passes can be purchased at feq.ca
