Through grief, groove, and lo-fi soul, the Calgary duo deliver the first of a two-part muse on self-actualization.
Toronto’s genre-blurring Project Nowhere Festival returns for its third edition this October 2 to 4, bringing another weekend of sonic exploration to the west end. Taking over six venues along Dundas West—including The Garrison, The Baby G, and St. Anne’s Parish—the multi-venue format invites show-hoppers to bounce between immersive performances with a 3-day pass as their golden ticket.
The first wave of the 2025 lineup is loaded with underground icons and boundary-pushers from around the globe. Highlights include Detroit hardcore outfit The Armed, UK funk-punk disruptors Warmduscher, art-rock pranksters Water From Your Eyes, and Italians Do It Better mainstays Johnny Jewel and Desire.
The programming also features hardcore folk from Truck Violence, Montreal shoegazers No Joy, ambient dub weirdos Freak Heat Waves, atmospheric pop by Kat Duma, a return set from Scott Hardware, and album release show from Toronto doom heroes Witchrot. New collaborations and curiosities abound, with Noble Rot (Alex Edkins + Graham Walsh), Lee & Gamble Unlimited, and the debut of Vallens’ new era.
Paired with trippy visuals from The Oscillitarium, Anthony Piazza, and Colby Richardson, Project Nowhere continues to evolve into one of the most adventurous and community-rooted festivals in the city. Grab yourself a 3-day pass now at projectnowhere.org
