The independent music festival Desert Daze, originally set to take place from October 10-13, 2024, at Lake Perris, California, has been canceled. Organizers cited escalating production costs and the unpredictable festival market as the reasons behind the difficult decision.

Desert Daze has long been cherished for its intimate, community-driven atmosphere, a rarity in today’s increasingly commercialized festival landscape. Despite their passion for live music and the loyal community they’ve cultivated, the small team behind the festival found it impossible to move forward with this year’s event.

“Desert Daze is more than a festival or business venture to us,” said co-founder Phil Pirrone. “The community that we’ve cultivated together means so much to us and is the reason we will work to find a way to keep this beautiful thing going for many years to come.”

While the 2024 festival is canceled, Pirrone assured fans that the Desert Daze Presents shows will continue as planned. “We tried everything to find a way forward this year,” he added. “While we hit pause for now, we will be working in the background to deliver another special experience for all of us to share in the future.”
