Gone Cosmic’s shining array of melodic modalities burst onto the scene in 2018 like a sun cresting the horizon and they’ve been extending beams of heavy positivity from their homebase in Calgary, Alberta ever since.
Transmuting between wild operatic overtures and groovy rhythmic pockets, the quartet grinds out grand soundscapes filled with vocal canyons, labyrinthian twists, and rifftastic recoveries. The latest single, “Endless,” from their forthcoming sophomore album, Send for a Warning, the Future’s Calling, is no exception. Overriding fear of the unknown and embracing free-fall ecstasy, “Endless” breaks through the smoke clouds like a supersonic falcon.
A live phenomenon not to be missed, Gone Cosmic’s mastery of exultant rock and roll reveries, delivered with the force of psych-soul diva Abbie Thurgood’s heart wrenching inflections, is a marvel to behold.
