Leo:

Libra:
(September 23 – October 22)

As someone who is well-balanced, you prioritize what you think is fair. Known to be conflict-avoidant while still seeing both sides, you might say something everyone doesn’t agree with—and not everyone will see every side like you do. Nipsey Hussle found himself in the middle of a controversy in 2018, having a problem with some lyrics from Cardi B that he felt were disrespectful to gang culture. At the peak of Cardi B mania, he was asked about it in several interviews and responded respectfully while showing both sides.

Scorpio:
(October 23 – November 21)

There are people who are secretive, and then there are Scorpios. Your ability to keep things lowkey is awe-inspiring. In times when it seems that everyone’s business is out there, you are a rare gem. Despite being so transparent for most of his career, Nipsey was able to keep his new partnership with Atlantic Records hidden until it was time for his debut album to be released. In an interview with The Breakfast Club, he explains his reasoning for being mysterious, wanting to keep public focus on the music itself.

Sagittarius:
(November 22 – December 21)

The time is now to be optimistic about the future, Sagittarius. There will be a lot of exciting things happening for you soon, because always looking at the glass half full comes naturally to you. The internet is littered with Nipsey Hussle quotes and sayings that provide inspiration on a number of topics. His ability to stay positive through adversity is encapsulated in this quote from him regarding the trajectory of his career: “I’m about seeing long term, seeing a vision, understanding nothing really worthwhile happens overnight, and just sticking to your script long enough to make something really happen.” Stick to the script, Sagittarius, and you’ll go places. 

Capricorn:
(December 22 – January 19)

Capricorns stay motivated. The hardest working sign in the zodiac calendar, Caps are usually overachievers and love getting ahead in life. Nipsey too was practical and persistent, often preaching the importance of having a plan. Even early in his career, he established himself as always thinking about the future.

Aquarius:
(Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

An Aquarius is most known for being an intelligent, progressive thinker. These self-proclaimed visionaries tend to do things in a very unique way. In a similar fashion, Nipsey Hussle sold hard copies of his 2013 mixtape, Crenshaw, for 100 dollars each. This was a distinctive release, especially at a time when mixtapes were released on the internet for free. He sold 1000 copies of Crenshaw, and a couple of years later, offered hard copies of the Mailbox Money mixtape for $1000 (60 copies sold).

Pisces:
(February 19 – March 20)

Pisces is an emotional sign; emotionally aware, emotionally sensitive, and of course empathetic. Nipsey Hussle wasn’t known for writing many love songs. However, later in his career, he began dating actress Lauren London and the world saw him adopt some classically Pisces behaviour —  emotionally aware and a visible romantic who wore his heart on his sleeve. He was once quoted as saying, “Study your Queen so you can give her what she wants without asking.” Words of wisdom to live by.

Aries:
(March 21 – April 19)

If there is one sign that absolutely loves competition, it’s Aries. This is your month to attack all challenges head-on and most importantly come out on top. You would be hard-pressed to find an artist more passionate than Nipsey Hussle. Whether it was his entrepreneurship or his love for the community, he remained fiery in what he believed in. And while he never reached number one on the Billboard charts, he was well-known for his powerful interviews. Following his passing in 2019, he was given the BET Awards Humanitarian Award.

Taurus:
(April 20 – May 20)

Taurus is a loyal sign, famous for being hard-headed and stubborn and doing things their own way. These are the true traits of a ride-or-die. Although Nipsey was never the biggest rapper in the game, he was always considered one of the most loyal. His loyalty was to his neighbourhood. Even after becoming successful, he opened the first location of his Marathon Clothing store in the same plaza where he used to sell drugs. A full-circle moment for him and the community.

Gemini:
(May 21 – June 20)

The extroverted duality of a Gemini doesn’t necessarily align with Nipsey Hussle’s energy. Publicly he was always calm, cool, and collected, but he did have his Gemini moments. In 2015, the paparazzi caught Nipsey Hussle out with Lauren London, and it was not a friendly exchange. He took videos of the paparazzi with their phone and made comments on their hair and teeth. It’s safe to say he got his point across, making this exchange nothing less than entertaining.

Cancer:
(June 21 – July 22)

Seeking comfort is one of the key characteristics of Cancer; this coupled with their often hard external shell can make them feel standoffish. The casual banter is not natural for them, and we know your summer is filled with social engagements where you’ll be trying to avoid the small talk at all costs. Nipsey’s demeanour was always very measured. In an interview with The Raw Word, Nipsey remains extremely calm while the two hosts are bubbling with energy. Keep your cool this month, Cancer, and everything will be great.
